Fred Mackintosh looks forward to real change in 2010 in Edinburgh South

2010 can be a year of real change for Edinburgh South says Lib Dem Challenger Fred Mackintosh. "In 2009 we saw the corruption of the cosy Westminster village exposed whilst Labour's legacy of financial mismanagement has begun to hit home. I hope that in coming year the thousands of local people who have told me they want change will have the chance to get it, by voting Liberal Democrat at the General Election."
With just 405 votes separating Labour and the Liberal Democrat and a swing of just 0.45% required to win local resident and campaigner Fred Mackintosh is in pole position as Edinburgh South heads towards the General Election.
Fred continued, "With press reports on Wednesday that the Tories privately concede it will be difficult for them to win from third place the choice is clear. It is between the hope for a freer, fairer and cleaner future with the Liberal Democrats and another five more years from a Labour MP for has stopped putting his constituents before the needs of his party."
