Council to investigate Cameron Toll busway

12.00.00am GMT Sun 28th Jan 2007

Council officers are to investigate building a guided busway along the route of the proposed third tramline from the foot of Craigmillar Park, through Cameron Toll centre car park and alongside the Old Dalkeith Road to the new Royal Infirmary.

"This would be a good way to start work on a tramline to the hospital" said Lib Dem Westminster Spokesperson Fred Mackintosh. "If the guided busway was built it would make building the tramline cheaper and easier. This is great news for south Edinburgh."
